The American Academy on Physician and Patient (AAPP) sponsors a number of courses and workshops on doctor-patient communication. Different formats and course lengths are offered.  Dr. Monica Broome, who is a fellow in the Educational Development Office at UMSM, has attended and collaborated in presenting several of these workshops. Dr. Broome (MBroome@med.miami.edu) would be willing to talk to prospective candidates about her experiences with these courses.
