Dr. Karen Kirkham

Karen Kirkham, MD, FACP, attended Wright State Medical School as an undergraduate and completed her residency at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, where she was the chief resident. She has served in various medical education roles throughout her career including Chief of Prime Care and Outpatient Education, VAMC Dayton, Associate Program Director for the WSU IM residency, Practice Director for the faculty practice, and currently, Vice-Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education for the department of internal medicine. She completed a month long quality and safety program at Intermountain Healthcare in Utah and this year completed the Harvard-Macy Program for Healthcare Educators. She has five years of experience with a fully Team Based Learning Internal Medicine clerkship.
