Jamie Padmore, MSc

Jamie S. Padmore is Vice President Academic Affairs at MedStar Health, Associate Dean for GME & Educational Scholarship at Georgetown University Medical Center, and Associate Professor in the department of surgery.
Ms. Padmore has strategic and operational oversight for the academic platform at MedStar Health, including GME, CME, faculty development, and medical staff credentialing. MedStar Health sponsors 90 residency and fellowship training programs and enrolls over 1,100 residents and fellows annually. MedStar Health is the clinical affiliate of Georgetown University, where she serves as Associate Dean and the principal liaison for medical student education at MedStar’s clinical sites, including Georgetown University Hospital. She is the founder and co-director of the MedStar Health Teaching Scholars Program, and co-leads Georgetown’s Office of Educational Scholarship and the medical student track for medical education research scholars. Her research interests include academic remediation and academic due process; the clinical learning environment; and, clinical competence committees. Ms. Padmore has presented her research nationally and internationally.

Ms. Padmore received her bachelor of science in medical and scientific illustration from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, and her Master of Science from the University of Maryland. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Maryland. Ms. Padmore is a 2007 Harvard-Macy Scholar, and also holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University and a certification in Medical Education Research from the Association of American Medical Colleges.
