David Green, MS

David Green builds transformative learning experiences that push educational boundaries by carefully fusing emerging technologies with strategies grounded in cognitive neuroscience research. He partners with university stakeholders to advance the culture of innovative teaching and learning at the University of Miami. In addition to serving as the Director of Educational Technologies for the Educational Development Office at UMMSM, he is also a member of the Academic Technologies “Learning, Innovation, and Faculty Engagement” team. He collaborates with faculty members to design, develop, implement, and assess technology-enriched courses. David’s scholarship activities focus on the following:

• Evaluating the effectiveness of transformative educational experiences.
• Incorporating emerging technologies in classes and assessing the effectiveness of student engagement / performance;
• Investigating metacognitive self-regulated learning processes in hypermedia-driven learning environments;

David’s nationally-recognized instructional design skills and course redesigns employ educational technology practices that support high-impact learning opportunities and civic engagement projects. He is currently completing a Doctorate in Organizational Change & Leadership at the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education, where his dissertation study focuses on metacognitive self-regulated learning processes in hypermedia-driven learning environments.
